Frequently Asked Questions

Do you work with all types of nonprofits?

We work best with organizations that have budgets between $500K–$5M and a willingness to improve internal systems. We’re especially helpful during leadership transitions or fundraising campaign prep.

What platforms do you use or recommend?

We frequently work with tools like MailerLite, Canva, Trello, Zapier, and Notion. Our recommendations are always budget-aware and tailored to your staff’s capacity.

Do you do CRM setup or donor database work?

No. We support communications workflows around your CRM but do not handle setup, migration, or database management.

Can you manage our team’s comms or projects on an ongoing basis?

Yes. Our fractional communications ops management option gives you a dedicated systems manager to oversee vendors, calendars, workflows, and campaigns.

What makes Opscale different from other nonprofit consultants or operations support services?

Most operations consultants focus on efficiency or tech tools alone. Opscale goes deeper — we specialize in building sustainable communications infrastructure. We help your nonprofit run more smoothly and speak with clarity and consistency, no matter who’s at the helm.

Is the Ops Health Snapshot a required first step before a bigger engagement?

It’s not required, but it’s highly recommended. Think of it as a low-risk way to clarify your biggest gaps and opportunities before making a larger investment. Some clients start with the Snapshot and then apply that cost toward a full engagement.

We already use Slack, Asana, and Google Drive. Isn’t that enough?

Those tools are only as strong as the systems behind them. Opscale doesn’t just plug in software — we design communication workflows, documentation, role-based protocols, and strategic rhythms to ensure your tools are actually doing their job.

What if we just need help with one specific system?

Opscale is not an a la carte service provider. We’re here to design and install interconnected communications systems that serve the full organization — not just a single department. If your need is hyper-specific, we’re happy to refer you to a specialist.

How do your packages differ by readiness level?

We offer three core packages:

  • Foundation Build – for early-stage or disorganized orgs
  • Stability & Scale – for teams growing quickly or operating in silos
  • Continuity & Culture – for advanced or legacy nonprofits needing long-term systems

Each tier is designed to match your organization’s size, complexity, and goals.

What happens after the engagement ends? Will we be able to maintain everything?

Yes. Every package includes clear documentation, a handoff plan, and team training so your staff is equipped to maintain and evolve your systems internally. We also offer optional maintenance support or periodic check-ins if desired.
